Driver slams $300,000 sports car into Portland office building

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The driver of a McLaren 720S — a sports car worth as much as $300,000 — crashed into the side of an office building in Portland, Oregon, at approximately 2:54 a.m. Sunday.Portland Fire and Rescue spokesperson Christine Pezzulo told Nexstar's KOIN that the firefighters who responded to the scene found one car crashed into the facade of a building in the Kerns neighborhood. The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. No passengers were said to have been in the car at the time of the crash. WASHINGTON — The Pentagon on Monday identified the five Army aviation special operations forces killed when their UH-60 helicopter crashed in the Eastern Mediterranean.The military’s European Command said the helicopter went down over the weekend during an air refueling mission as part of military training.The five service members who died were Chief Warrant Officer 3 Stephen R. CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police arrested two individuals following a reported robbery at Boscov's in Clifton Park on Wednesday. A store employee sustained injuries during the incident. When the store's loss prevention officer tried to stop her, Stearns allegedly bit them and hit them with a stolen item.The second suspect, Kolawole Fashuyi, 32, got involved and allegedly hit the employee multiple times. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schoharie man was arrested Friday for possessing a loaded and defaced handgun. Travis Liddle, 46, faces multiple charges. PROVIDENCE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man has been arrested following a disturbance in Providence, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. Matthew Piombino, 32, is facing multiple charges. On November 4 at 11:49 p.m., officers responded to Southline Road in Providence following the report of a disturbance. The investigation by police revealed that Piombino allegedly smashed out the rear window of a Dodge Durango and proceeded to apply pressure to the throat of the car's owner. Piombino was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He was arraigned at the Edinburg Town Court andreleased on his own recognizance.

ST. LOUIS - Part of a busy thoroughfare in Clayton was shut down Monday morning after reports of a shooting. The Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate the incident. Clayton police say a man was shot this morning. Information about his identity is not being released at this time. Part of Wydown, just east of Hanley, is still closed as the police investigation unfolds. There are at least five evidence markers in the area. The police are focusing much of their attention on the driveway area between two apartment buildings.Authorities rushed there at around 5:30 a.m. Clayton police have not released much information at all.
